From the start, Claudia and Andrew wanted to create an organic and sustainable agricultural business that would support a high-quality boutique vineyard and olive grove which could be nurtured by future generations.

The Cousteau philosophy of protecting the seas and the planet had always resonated with the family. Together with Philippe Cousteau, Jacques’s younger son, Andrew produced the first environmental series for TV, “Oasis In Space.” This informed his view of how to develop and protect the land where they would layout their vineyards and olive grove.

Their son, Josh, and daughter, Dakota, have been involved in the plans for RBV from the start. Over time, with their respective spouses, Leslie and Taylor, the next generation is becoming increasingly hands on as the wines are being cultivated and brought to the public.
